Ola enters into E-Bikes market with all new Ola Roadster series.

Ola with the launch of the new Ola Roadster Series makes Indian two-wheeler market more competitive with the launch, at the Sankalp event where Ola introduces some new futuristic concepts at the event. Along with those concepts, they also officially launched their new Roadster series: (Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster X Pro) for customers with the motto “Ride the Evolution”. The new E-bike series is about to appear in the market in January 2025.

Everything changed with the launch of their new EVs moreover the company took everyone by surprise when they announced its prices at the event. Their new Roadster series will start from a surprising Rs 74,999 and give tough competition to vehicles like the Bajaj Pulsar 125.  Despite that accessible and affordable price, it offers a complete package due to its peaked performance, features, and range.

The Ola Roadster X

Performance, Range, and Pricing.

Among all three Roadster models, the Roadster X will be the most affordable starting at Rs 74,999 and the top variant will be Rs 99,999. It will be powered by a battery ranging from 2.5kWh to 4.5kWh.

Looking over performance the Roadster X will go up to 124kmph with three modes: Sports, Eco, and Normal. At the event, Ola Claims that it will go from 0 to 40kmph in 2.8 seconds.

With a top speed of 124 kmph which is fun to ride, the Roadster X will give a range of 150 km means the fun will be for much longer. The range will vary from 150 to 200 km depending on the capacity of the battery.

Build and other features.

From the front, the Roadster X will have an LED strip headlight and ride on 17-inch alloy wheels under telescopic suspension on a single-piece tubular handlebar along with a simpler, single-piece tubular handlebar along with a flat and long seat.

Roadster X will offer a 4.3-inch LCD panel for driver control and information. For braking, the bike will have a single disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the back, instead of ABS the bike will use CBS Combined Breaking System.

Performance and Build.

OLA Roadster price for variants – Roadster 3.5 kWh starts at Rs. 1,04,999. The price for the other variants – Roadster 4.5 kWh and Roadster 6 kWh are Rs. 1,19,999 and Rs. 1,39,999. The mentioned Roadster prices are the average ex-showroom.

The bike will go up to a top speed of 124kmph and thanks to its 13 Kw motor bike will go to 0 to 40kmph within 2.2 seconds comparatively faster than Roadster X and promises a range of 248 km. The bike will offer four types of modes Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco for convenience of driver.

Apart from performance, Roadster will offer good build quality and safety features. Speaking of build quality wheels will be similar to Roadster 17-inch under a telescopic suspension at the front and mono shock suspension at the rear. Both wheels will have a disc braking system paired with ABS technology.

Roadster Pro will offer tons of safety features like IP67 water protection to its battery. For drivers, the Roadster will offer cruise control and tamper alert which makes drivers look at the road. A 6.5-inch TFT which is a good upgrade from the Roadster X model.

Last but not least the Roadster X Pro will be the top variant of the Roadster series with all top-of-the-notch features and performance capabilities. The Pro variant uses 8kWh and 16kWh battery packs. The Roadster X Pro variant promises a massive 579km of range from its 16kWh pack price at Rs 2,50,000. The Roadster Pro will go up to 194kmph, 0 to 100 in just 1.9s, and peak torque of 105Nm.

Build and Other Features

A steel frame body suspended by a USD fork suspension and mono-shock at the back. The braking system will include disc braking technology in each wheel with ABS and ADAS technology. The Roadster powerhouse, its massive battery will have a water-cooling feature for the longevity of the battery.

Ola Roadster Pro will offer a long list of features for drivers. Which includes its massive 10-inch TFT display. Reservation for the following bike will commence in August and will be available to deliver to the customer in the year 2025.
